Reviews Overview

Most Liked

One of the standout aspects of Afghan Cuisine is the exceptional hospitality provided by the staff, including moments that make dining out with children easier. Guests often rave about the friendly service, noting how staff members go above and beyond to accommodate needs.

The expansive menu offers something for everyone, with popular dishes including the Lamb Charzi Karahi and delectable Mantu dumplings. Sharing platters are a hit, allowing groups to sample a variety of flavors without breaking the bank.

Late-night hours attract visitors looking for a hearty meal beyond typical dining hours. The casual atmosphere invites guests to unwind and indulge without feeling rushed. The reasonable price range of £10–20 for generous portions speaks to its value, making it a favorite among locals and travelers alike.

Most Disliked

Despite the overall positive feedback, some visitors note that the spice levels in certain dishes might not meet the expectations of those seeking fiery flavors. Those who prefer spicier dishes might feel the menu leans more towards mildly seasoned options.

The busiest times, especially Fridays around 8 PM, tend to overwhelm the kitchen, leading to longer wait times for food. This could frustrate hungry diners hoping for a quick meal. The crowded environment during peak hours might deter those looking for a quieter dining space to enjoy their meal without noise.

While some praise the menu's broad appeal, others wish for more vegetarian options, noting the desire for additional plant-based dishes to suit diverse dietary needs.

Great new spot down the Cowley Road. Lovely choice for a group with mixed taste buds. Super tasty, but nothing really spicy. Girls at front of house were friendly and accommodating. Love the fact it’s open till late. We didn’t it down until gone 10pm. Will definitely be back

We travelled all the way from Leeds and were absolutely delighted by the authentic, delicious food. Sana is truly a gem! She went above and beyond—providing a baby chair, kindly looking after my little one, and even making sure we had hot milk for her. She also suggested we try their tea, which turned out to be the perfect finishing touch to our wonderful meal. Such a lovely experience from start to finish! ❤️ Give Sana payrise as she deserves 👏 👏

I visited this place today and had a great experience! The prices were reasonable, the ladies were really friendly, and the food arrived on time. Every dish we tried was delicious. I came with my daughter and the staff in the dining area were incredibly kind, even with the little one. They kept checking if everything was okay and if we needed anything. Even though I live far away, I would definitely come back just to eat here again. This has become one of my new favourite places. Highly recommended!

The food here was on point Chapli Kebab were one of the best ones I've eaten in a while. Coming from Pakhtun country I know a good chapli kebab when I see one. The Naan were soft and great. Grilled chicken and lamb Karahi were good too. Sorry for the half eaten food. I realized midway to take some pictures. Great people and good food.

This was some of the best food I had in the UK! The meat was so tender, well seasoned and delicious. I’m telling you that chicken will blow your mind. The food was so good. I had to take a picture with the cook because I was so blown away by how delicious it was. And it was open late night, which was great for me because I had just performed at the O2 Academy up the street, And I needed something good to eat after the show. Go here and eat if you’re in the area. You won’t regret it.
